If you’re looking some inspiration whilst planning your DIY wedding, if you’re helping someone plan their wedding or if you just fancy a read of something funny then you’re in the right place.

I am very happy and very proud to let you all know that we actually tied the knot on Saturday 3rd May 2014 and we still can’t quite believe that it’s happened. We had a wonderful day and we did most of it ourselves, with our own two (four) hands. The whole process was like riding a roller coaster and culminated in something that we are so proud of. I now want to help inspire all future brides and wedding lovers.

This website will document our personal journey into married life and along the way it will hopefully help all you other brides who would like to buck the trend and do something different.

During our wedding planning, we were constantly getting told that we needed to have certain things and that we needed to have them in a certain way, costing a certain amount. And the whole time, I felt the need to resist accepting anything that we didn’t actually want or value for our big day. The resistance was not easy, but hopefully this website will help you all get to the point where you’re 100% happy with your choices.

After all, it is your wedding and it should be done your way. Sometimes this means that you have to take matters into your own hands (literally)!

On this site you will find our wedding blog, which we are adding slowly in chronological order, starting from the very beginning. We will also start adding our DIY how-tos, our tips & tricks and our advice very soon. These will be nested within the blog, as we’ll be showing you how we did our various bits of DIY, but they will also be added to the DIY/Tips & Tricks section.

Enjoy and remember: it’s Your Wedding, Your Way!
