Wedding invitation samples – 25/07/2013

Even though we don’t yet have a ceremony venue, a reception venue or even a plan really, I have been looking at wedding invitations. I couldn’t help it! The Internet is there, beckoning me to start looking at wedding-related prettiness!

Most wedding invitation websites do offer to send you a few free samples, so I wanted to take full advantage of this and started looking around early on. It’s also good to bear in mind that most of these companies do then follow up after you order samples, with discount codes and other offers to encourage you to buy invitations from their websites, so make sure your keep an eye out for them.

I have ordered the following samples from the following companies:

I knew I wanted a flat and simple invitation in terms of the physicality of the card, but I did try to order a wide range of invitation designs in order to keep our options open and also to get Groom as involved as possible. I am pretty sure that I fancy something with a vintage hint to it (my current favourite is the one from Minted, called Journey Together, with the tandem bike), but I would like to get Groom’s input too.

There is so much choice online that it is so hard to make that final decision. Things can get pricey too, especially when you start adding on RSVP and information cards! We’ll see about those, but in the meantime, the invitations themselves are works of art and I’m just enjoying their beauty.
